Antonio Rosales has realized the Mexican premiere for some bass clarinet masterpieces such as "Itou" by Pascal Dusapin, "Échange" by Iannis Xenakis, "Concertino for Bass Clarinet and String Quartet" by Tristan Keuris, "Schattenklänge" by Mauricio Kagel and "Desde el Instante" by Javier Torres Maldonado on version for solo bass clarinet. He has performed at the "Foro Internacional de Música Nueva Manuel Enríquez" (Mexico City, 2006-2015), "Festival Internacional de Música Nueva de Monterrey” (2008 and 2014), VI and VII “Foro de Compositores de Nuevo Leon” 2014 and 2015, 28th “Festival Cultural Zacatecas” 2014, “Festival Alfonso Ortiz Tirado” (Alamos, Sonora 2012-2013), “Festival Internacional Cervantino” (2011-2013), XVI “Festival de Música Antigua y Barroca Los Fundadores" San Luis Potosí 2013, as well as at many concerts from the cycle TonalÁtonal sponsored by the German Institution for Cultural Affairs, Goethe Institut Mexiko, between 2014 and 2015. During his career, Antonio Rosales has participated on concerts performed at Mexico, Germany, Holland and France.

He was recipient of a grant in 2012 from "Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, FONCA", in the category of “Artist in Residence FONCA-CONACYT”. The project "Contemporary Bach” consisted on a collaboration between Antonio Rosales and the German Berlin based Trio “XelmYa”, to perform in concert selections from "The Art of Fugue" by Johann Sebastian Bach and the premiere of two works by contemporary composers from Germany and Mexico. As result of this project, UMBRATONO Ensemble is founded by Antonio Rosales and the German flutist Sylvia Hinz, Artistic Director of XelmYa Trio.

Antonio Rosales graduated from Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Netherlands, 2003-2005) where he made postgraduate studies on bass clarinet with the Professors Harry Sparnaay and Erik van Deuren. The Academic Program included the courses "Advanced Rhythm" and "Contemporary Music through Non-Western Techniques" with the Professors Jos Zwaanenburg and Rafael Reina. Antonio Rosales completed this Academic Deegre with the support of the Secretaría de Educación Pública, through its office Dirección General de Relaciones Internacionales, which granted him for the 2004-2005 scholar period. He owns a Bachelor in Music in Clarinet performance from “Escuela Superior de Música” of the “Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes” in Mexico City. Luis Humberto Ramos was his instrument Mentor.

Antonio Rosales is member and Artistic Director of QUARTZ and UMBRATONO ensembles as well as member of LIMINAR ensemble, ANEMOS CLARINET QUARTET and TRIO d'ORIZZONTE. He is Guest Instructor for the course of Advanced Rhythm at the “Centro de Experimentación y Producción de Música Contemporánea, CEPROMUSIC”. He has been Guest Lecturer at the “Conservatorio del Estado de Puebla”, “Escuela de Artes de la Benemérita Universidad de Puebla”, “Colegio San Juan Siglo XXI de Matamoros, Tamaulipas”, “Orquestas y Coros Juveniles de la Ciudad de México” and at the “Centro de las Artes San Luis Potosi Centenario”.
